Sometimes you want a beautiful, lacy effect for a little girl, but you are unsure of your skills. This pattern gives you the ability to make those garments with a minimum of effort, and maximum visual panache. The ruffly hem is easy: you just cast on a larger number of stitches and work two rows of strategic decreases. The ribbing, edged in garter, is likewise easy. Then the overall eyelet fabric is simply working yo’s with corresponding decreases framed by little 3-stitch garter sections– that’s all. But the look is very fancy without goo, delicate and pretty. Sleeves are set in, and you have your choice of a V or crew neck.
