This embroidery is easier to stitch than it might seem. Cross stitches in a single strand form shadows for the plates themselves, worked in Blackwork techniques, to stand out from. Each of the ten plates would make a lovely picture on its own right and together they are quite splendid. Enjoy some relaxing stitching and end up with a work of art!
