Its natural resilience gives knitted garments excellent structure and shape retention, while the wool becomes softer with wear. Peer Gynt has been produced since 1938, making it one of the true classics of the Sandnes Garn range.

Made from 100% Norwegian wool, Peer Gynt has the structure and resilience you’d expect from a traditional wool yarn. It holds its shape well, is naturally durable and resistant to pilling, making it particularly suited to garments that are intended to be worn often and kept for a long time.

Norwegian wool can initially feel more rustic than a fine merino, but that’s part of Peer Gynt’s character. The fibres soften with wear while retaining the structure that makes the yarn so good for sweaters and other substantial garments.
